Job description
Within the project team, contributes and supports Total Group culture and leadership for SHE aspects of the project, including preparation of future Operation and Maintenance activities, in particular:

- Identifies and reports gaps between local regulations, good international engineering practices and those of the Company.

- Monitors the implementation of the project HSSE concepts beginning at the conceptual phase through and including hand-over to Operator.

- Contributes to and monitors the execution of the Environmental, Societal, Impact Assessment (EIA) study with all disciplines, and liaison with contractors and related administrations.

- Coordinates and reviews Contractors process design activities to ensure complete consistency of the project HSSE aspects.

- Assists in the development and implementation of HSE guidelines for all project phases.

- Actively participates in Hazards Studies throughout all phases of the project.

Required skills
Education
- University degree and above.

- Certification by an international certification body a plus (BCSP, NEBOSH, etc).
Experience
- Experience/ability in HSE management systems and practices for Petrochemicals or Coal conversion industries.
- Familiar with/participation in HSE Hazards studies.
- Experience/ability to work with and control work output of Consulting and engineering companies in HSE.
- Experience/ability to coordinate and liaise with all levels of governmental authorities and administrations.
- Team spirit and an inspiring attitude.
- Ability to work in both office and physically challenging environments.
- Ability to work under pressure and with little supervision.
- Travel can be extensive at times

- Strong communication skills, good command of both Chinese and English languages
